Traffic Advice
Temporary Closure of Fanling Highway Southbound (Kowloon bound), Tai Po
Motorists are advised that to facilitate the road works on Fanling Highway, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented during the periods as specified below.
(I) ROAD CLOSURE
1. from 11.00 pm on 29 August 2015, 2, 5, 12 and 19 September 2015 to 12.30 am of the following day
Two traffic lanes of Fanling Highway southbound (Kowloon bound) between Wo Hop Shek Interchange and Hong Lok Yuen will be temporarily closed.
2. from 12.30 am to 5.30 am on 30 August 2015, 3, 6, 13 and 20 September 2015
The section of Fanling Highway southbound (Kowloon bound) between Tai Wo Service Road East and Lam Kam Road Interchange will be temporarily closed.
(II) TRAFFIC DIVERSION
During the road closure period:
1. vehicles on Fanling Highway southbound heading for Kowloon will be diverted via Tai Wo Service Road East southbound, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Tai Po Road - Tai Wo southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange and Tolo Highway southbound; and
2. vehicles on Jockey Club Road southbound heading for Kowloon will be diverted via Pak Wo Road westbound, Wah Ming Road southbound, roundabout, Wo Hing Road eastbound, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Tai Po Road - Tai Wo southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange and Tolo Highway southbound.
(III) PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICES ARRANGEMENTS
(A) Franchised Bus Services
1. KMB route nos. 277X (Lam Tin bound) and 278X (Tsuen Wan bound) will be diverted via Wah Ming Road southbound, roundabout, Wo Hing Road eastbound, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Tai Po Road - Tai Wo southbound and Lam Kam Road Interchange before resuming its normal routeing.
2. LW route no. N42A (Tung Chung bound) will be diverted via San Wan Road southbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, Pak Wo Road westbound, Wah Ming Road southbound, roundabout, Wo Hing Road eastbound, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Tai Po Road - Tai Wo southbound and Lam Kam Road Interchange before resuming its normal routeing. All en-route stops will be temporarily suspended.
(B) Green Minibus Services
1. GMB Route no. 616S (Mong Kok bound) will be via Tai Wo Service Road East southbound, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Tai Po Road - Tai Wo southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange and Tolo Highway southbound before resuming its normal routeing.
Appropriate traffic aids will be provided on site to guide motorists.
