Traffic and Transport Arrangements in the vicinity of

Long Ping Station (South) Public Transport Interchange, Yuen Long

Members of the public are advised that in connection with the West Rail Long Ping Station (South) property development works, the following traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented at Long Ping Station (South) Public Transport Interchange and its adjacent carriageways with effect from 10:00 a.m. on 5 September 2015:

 

(A) Traffic Arrangements:

The southbound section of Wang Lok Street from its junction with Ma Wang Road will be permanently closed to all vehicular traffic except the site vehicles.

The existing Long Ping Station (South) Public Transport Interchange will be permanently closed and a new replacement will be provided at westbound of Ma Wang Road near its junction with Wang Lok Street.

 

(B) Transport Arrangements:

(I) GMB Stop Arrangement

The existing terminal/en-route stops for N.T. GMB Route Nos. 73 (Long Ping Station (South) Public Transport Interchange - Sung Shan Sun Tsuen) and 74 (Yuen Long (Fook Hong Street) - Shing Uk Tsuen) at Long Ping Station (South) Public Transport Interchange will be permanently suspended and relocated to the new replacement at westbound carriageway of Ma Wang Road from a point about 85 metres west of its junction with Wang Lok Street to a point about 106 metres west of the same junction.

(II) New Territories Taxi Stand

The existing taxi stand at Long Ping Station (South) Public Transport Interchange will be permanently suspended and relocated to the new replacement at westbound carriageway of Ma Wang Road from a point about 18 metres west of its junction with Wang Lok Street to a point about 26 metres west of the same junction.

(III) Relocation of Private Car Pick-up and Drop-off Area

The existing private car pick-up and drop-off area at Long Ping Station (South) Public Transport Interchange will be permanently suspended and relocated to the new replacement at westbound carriageway of Ma Wang Road from a point about 32 metres west of its junction with Wang Lok Street to a point about 52 metres west of the same junction.

 

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to inform members of the public for the above arrangement.
