ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

 Restricted Zones in Yau San Street and Shui Che Kwun Street, Yuen Long

 

In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that the following locations will be designated as restricted zone 24 hours daily with effect from 10:00 a.m. on 30 October 2015:

 

•(a)      24 hours daily

 

• 1. The western kerbside lane of Yau San Street from a point about 5 metres west of its junction with Fau Tsoi Street to its junction with Kin Lok Street; and
• 2. The southern kerbside lane of Shui Che Kwun Street from a point about 20 metres east of its junction with Kuk Ting Street to the same junction.

 

Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

 

• (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b) loading or unloading goods.

 

The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

 

At the same time, the existing restricted zones of the above sections of road from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m., and from 7.00 a.m. to 12.00 midnight daily will be rescinded.
