Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements

for Kam Tin Ten Years Ta Chiu Celebration and Procession 2015

 

Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Yuen Long to facilitate the Kam Tin Ten Years Ta Chiu Celebration and Procession 2015 during 23 to 25 November 2015 (Monday to Wednesday):

 

 

The following sections of roads will be intermittently closed to all vehicular traffic from the time specified below until completion of the procession on 23 November 2015. The actual implementation time of road closure may be advanced if necessary.

 

(I)

From 1.00 p.m. onwards to 7.00 p.m.

 

 

 

  • (1)

Shui Tau Road southbound;

 

  • (2)

The section of Chi Ho Road between Shui Tau Road and access road to Shui Tau Tsuen;

 

  • (3)

The section of Kam Hing Road between Chi Ho Road and Kam Tai Road;

 

  • (4)

The section of Kam Tai Road between Kam Hing Road and Kam Tin Road;

 

  • (5)

Kam Tin Shi Street;

 

  • (6)

The section of Kam Tin Road eastbound between Kam Tin Shi Street and access road of Kat Hing Wai;

 

  • (7)

The section of Kam Sheung Road eastbound between access road of Kat Hing Wai and with Po Tei Road;

 

  • (8)

Po Tei Road; and

 

  • (9)

The section of Kam Tin Road westbound between Po Tei Road and access road of Tai Hong Wai.

 

 

 

The following sections of roads will be intermittently closed to all vehicular traffic from the time specified below until completion of the procession on 24 November 2015. The actual implementation time of road closure may be advanced if necessary.

 

 

 

(II)

From 10.30 a.m. onwards to 9.00 p.m.

 

 

 

  • (1)

The section of Chi Ho Road between Shui Tau Road and access road to Shui Tau Tsuen;

 

  • (2)

The section of Kam Hing Road between Chi Ho Road and Kam Tai Road; and

 

  • (3)

The section of Kam Tai Road between Kam Hing Road and Kam Tin Road.

 

 

 

(III)

From 12.00 noon onwards to 7.00 p.m.

 

 

 

  • (1)

Siu Sheung Road;

 

  • (2)

The section of Yuen Long Kau Hui Road southbound between access road of Tung Tau Tsuen and Long Yat Road;

 

  • (3)

The slow lane section of Long Yat Road between Yuen Long Kau Hui Road and access road of Nam Bin Wai

 

  • (4)

Cheung Shing Street;

 

  • (5)

The section of Wang Yip Street South between its eastern junction with Hi Yip Street  and its junction with the access road between Hi Yip Industrial Building and Yue Fung Industrial Building;

 

  • (6)

The section of Wang Yip Street East between Keung Yip Street and the entrance of Wang Yip Street South Rest Garden;

 

  • (7)

Tai Kiu Road southbound;

 

  • (8)

The section of Yuen Long On Ning Road between Tai Kiu Road and Wang Chau Road;

 

  • (9)

The section of Yuen Long On Ning Road eastbound between Wang Chau Road and   Yuen Long Tai Hang Street;

 

  • (10)

The section of Sai Tai Street between Yuen Long Tai Hang Street and Yuen Long Tai Cheung Street;

 

  • (11)

Yuen Long Tai Cheung Road;

 

  • (12)

The section of Long Wo Road north and east bound between Long Yat Road and the pedestrian subway linking to Siu Sheung Road;

 

  • (13)

The section of Tung Lok Street both bounds between Yuen Long On Ning Road and   Sau Fu Street;

 

  • (14)

Fook Tak Street;

 

  • (15)

The section of Sau Fu Street westbound between Fook Hong Street and Tung Lok Street;

 

  • (16)

The section of Sau Fu Street eastbound between Kiu Lok Square and Tung Lok Street;

 

  • (17)

Wang Chau Road;

 

  • (18)

Yuen Long Pau Cheung Square;

 

  • (19)

Tai Lee Street;

 

  • (20)

Shui Che Kwun Street; and

 

  • (21)

Kiu Lok Square.

 

 

 

The following sections of roads will be intermittently closed to all vehicular traffic from the time specified below until completion of the procession on 25 November 2015. The actual implementation time of road closure may be advanced if necessary.

 

(IV)

From 5.00 p.m. onwards to 9.00 p.m.

 

 

 

  • (1)

Shui Tau Road southbound;

 

  • (2)

The section of Chi Ho Road between Shui Tau Road and access road to Shui Tau Tsuen;

 

  • (3)

The section of Kam Hing Road between Chi Ho Road to Kam Tai Road;

 

  • (4)

The section of Kam Tai Road between Kam Hing Road and Kam Tin Road;

 

  • (5)

Kam Tin Shi Street; and

 

  • (6)

The section of Kam Tin Road eastbound between Kam Tin Shi Street and access road of Wing Lung Wai.

 

 

The following traffic diversion will be implemented from the time specified below. The actual implementation time may be advanced if necessary.

 

(I)

The traffic flow at the section of Sau Fu Street between Tung Lok Street and Kiu Lok Square will be converted to one-way westward from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. on 24 November 2015.

 

 

The following section of cycling track will be intermittently closed to all bicycle from the time specified below until completion of the procession on 23 November 2015. The actual implementation time of cycling track closure may be advanced if necessary.

 

(I)

From 1.00 p.m. onwards to 7.00 p.m.

 

 

  • (1)

The section of cycling track between Kam Hing Road and the western entrance / exit of Ko Po Tsuen.

 

The following sections of cycling track will be intermittently closed to all bicycle from the time specified below until completion of the procession on 24 November 2015. The actual implementation time of cycling track closure may be advanced if necessary.

 

 

(II)

From 10.30 a.m. onwards to 9.00 p.m.

 

 

  • (1)

The section of cycling track between Kam Hing Road and Au Tau Interchange.

 

 

 

(III)

From 12.00 noon onwards to 7.00 p.m.

 

 

  • (1)

The section of cycling track between Yuen Long Tung Shing Lei Road and Pok Oi Interchange; and;

 

  • (2)

The section of cycling track between Sai Kai Road and the entrance of Kwan Lok Sun Tsuen at Po Yip Street.

 

The following section of cycling track will be intermittently closed to all bicycle from the time specified below until completion of the procession on 25 November 2015. The actual implementation time of cycling track closure may be advanced if necessary.

 

(IV)

From 5.00 p.m. onwards to 9.00 p.m.

 

 

  • (1)

The section of cycling track between Kam Hing Road and the western entrance / exit of Ko Po Tsuen.

 

 

(I)

Temporary Adjustments of Green Minibus (GMB) Services

 

The temporary adjustments of the following GMB routes will be implemented during the periods specified below:

 

 

 

(1)

From 1.00 p.m. on 24 November 2015 until completion of the procession at 7.00 p.m.

 

 

 

 

 

(i)

GMB route nos. 36, 37 and 38 will be re-routed to via Castle Peak Road (Yuen Long) and Long Yat Road on its journeys to temporary terminating point at the Public Transport Interchange on Long Lok Road;

 

 

(ii)

GMB route no. 73 will be re-routed to omit Fook Hong Street GMB Terminus on its journeys to Sung San Sun Tsuen; and

 

 

(iii)

GMB route nos. 75 and 76 will be re-routed to via Yuen Long On Ning Road and Sau Fu Street on its journeys to temporary terminating point at Kiu Lok Square.

 

 

 

 

(II)

Suspension and Relocation of GMB Terminus

 

 

 

(1)

The terminus of GMB route nos. 36, 37, 38, 74, 74A, 75 and 76 in Fook Hong Street will be suspended and relocated to the following locations from 1.00 p.m. on 24 November 2015 to 7.00 p.m. until completion of the procession:

 

 

 

(i)

The terminus of GMB route nos. 36, 37 and 38 will be temporarily relocated to the Public Transport Interchange on Long Lok Road;

 

 

(ii)

The terminus of GMB route nos. 74 and 74A will be temporarily relocated to Yuen Long On Lok Road near Tai Kiu Tsuen Bus Stop; and

 

 

(iii)

The terminus of GMB route nos. 75 and 76 will be temporarily relocated to the Kiu Lok Square.

 

 

 

 

         

 (E) Suspension of Parking Spaces/Layby

 

The following parking spaces /stopping layby will be suspended during the periods specified below:

 

(I)

From 12.00 noon on 24 November 2015 until completion of the procession at 7.00 p.m.

 

 

 

(1)

Parking spaces at Kiu Lok Square; and

 

(2)

The layby situated at Yuen Long On Lok Road westbound between Shui Che Kwun Lane and No. 51, Yuen Long On Lok Road.

 

(F)   Attention and Appeal

 

The public transport operators will display notices at the stops and inside vehicle compartments to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements. Actual implementation of and adjustments to road closures, suspension of GMB termini, parking spaces, public light bus and taxi stands, traffic control and public transport services diversions will be made by the Police at the time depending on the prevailing circumstances, traffic and crowd conditions in the areas. Members of the public should pay attention to the route diversions and suspension of stops.

Appropriate temporary traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists are advised not to drive to the affected areas, and to drive with utmost care and patience and take heed of the instruction given by the Police on site.
