ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Temporary Restricted Zone in Shing Fong Street, Kwai Chung

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 16 January 2016, the section of Shing Fong Street from its junction with Wing Fong Road  to a point about 35 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily designated a restricted zone 24 hours daily until 15 February 2016.

        Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

        (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
        (b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the above road section will be temporarily rescinded.
