ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Temporary Restricted Zone in Hong Yip Street and Yuen Long Kau Hui Raod, Yuen Long 

In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that the following locations will be designated as temporary restricted zone 24 hours daily with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 1 January 2016 to 6.00 p.m. on 31 March 2016:

• (a) The southern kerbside lane of Hong Yip Street from a point about 15 metres east of its junction with Tak Yip Street to a point about 55 metres east of the same junction;
• (b) The section of Hong Yip Street from a point about 80 metres west of its junction with Yuen Long Kau Hui Road to the same junction; and
• (c) The section of Yuen Long Kau Hui Road from a point about 50 metres north of its junction with Hong Yip Street to a point about 100 metres south of the same junction.

Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

• (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b) loading or unloading goods.

The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
