Temporary Restricted Zones on Chung Mei Road, Tsing Yi

In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 12 February 2016, the following road sections in Tsing Yi will be temporarily designated restricted zones 24 hours daily until 31 March 2016:

(a) the northern kerbside lane of Chung Mei Road from a point about 60 metres west of its junction with the unnamed access road leading to Occupational Safety and Health Council Occupational Safety and Health Academy to a point about 45 metres east of the same junction; and

(b) the section of the unnamed access road leading to Occupational Safety and Health Council Occupational Safety and Health Academy from its junction with Chung Mei Road to a point about 30 metres north of the same junction.

Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.

The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
