ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Temporary Restricted Zone at Ferry Street, Yau Ma Tei

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from the following periods, the eastern kerbside lane of Ferry Street southbound from a point about 15 metres south of its junction with Saigon Street to a point about 55 metres south of the same junction will be temporarily designated a restricted zone 24 hours daily:-

• (a) from 10.00 am on 9 July 2016 to 6.00 am on 11 July 2016;
• (b) from 10.00 am on 16 July 2016 to 6.00 am on 18 July 2016; and
• (c) from 10.00 am on 23 July 2016 to 6.00 am on 25 July 2016.

     Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b) loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

     At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the above road section will be temporarily rescinded.
