TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE

Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Ap Lei Chau

     Notice is hereby given that in connection with the construction of MTRCL South Island Line (East), the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will continue to be implemented in Ap Lei Chau and is expected to be maintained until 31 July 2016:

     A. Temporary Traffic Arrangements

     1. The section of Yi Nam Road between Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road and South Horizon Drive will continue to be converted from two-way traffic to one-way southbound.
     2. The section of Yi Nam Road between Lee Nam Road and South Horizon Drive will continue to be converted from two-way traffic to one-way northbound.
     3. Vehicles from Yi Nam Road heading for Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road and Lee Nam Road will continue to be diverted to travel via South Horizon Drive, Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road (eastbound) and Lee Nam Road (southbound).

     B. Temporary Public Transport Arrangements

     I. Temporary Arrangement of Bus Terminus
     1. The terminating point of Citybus (“CTB”) route N90 in South Horizons Bus Terminus will continue to be relocated to Ap Lei Chau Estate Bus Terminus.
 
     II. Temporary Bus and Green Minibus (“GMB”) Route Diversions
     1. New World First Bus (“NWFB”) routes 590, 590A, 595, CTB routes 90B, 99, 592 and Cross Harbour Tunnel (“XHT”) route 171 from South Horizon Drive (eastbound) heading for South Horizons will continue to be diverted to travel via Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road (eastbound), Lee Nam Road (southbound) and Yi Nam Road (northbound) before entering South Horizons Bus Terminus.
     2. CTB route N90 on bothbound journeys will continue to omit Yi Nam Road and the section of Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road west of the ingress of Ap Lei Chau Estate Bus Terminus.
     3. GMB route 63 from Yi Nam Road (northbound) heading for Queen Mary Hospital will continue to be diverted to travel via South Horizon Drive before resuming its normal routeing on Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road (eastbound).
     4. GMB route 63 from Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road (westbound) heading for South Horizons will continue to be diverted to travel via Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road (eastbound), Lee Nam Road (southbound) and Yi Nam Road (northbound) before entering South Horizons Bus Terminus.
     5. GMB routes 37 and 37A will continue not to serve South Horizons area.  The two GMB routes from Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road (westbound) heading for Lei Tung Estate will continue to be diverted to travel via Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road (westbound) and Ap Lei Chau Estate Bus Terminus before resuming their normal routeings on Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road (eastbound).

     III. Temporary Bus and GMB Stops Arrangements
     1. A temporary bus stop of CTB routes 95C and A10 (for journey to Chi Fu Fa Yuen and Airport) will continue to be added on South Horizon Drive outside Block 18, South Horizons.
     2. CTB route N90 on journey to Central will continue not to observe the bus stops on Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road outside Lei Chak House, Ap Lei Chau Estate and outside Ap Lei Chau Estate Bus Terminus.
     3. CTB route N90 on journey to Ap Lei Chau will continue not to observe the bus stop on Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road outside Block 30, South Horizons.
     4. The stop of GMB route 63 on Yi Nam Road outside Marina Square East Market will continue to be relocated to Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road opposite Precious Blood Primary School (South Horizons).
     5. The stop of GMB route 63 on Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road outside Block 30, South Horizons will continue to be relocated to Ap Lei Chau Bridge Road outside Ap Lei Chau Estate Bus Terminus.
     6. The stop for GMB routes 37 and 37A on Yi Nam Road outside Marina Square East Market will continue to be suspended.  Passengers of these GMB routes may use the stop in Ap Lei Chau Estate Bus Terminus.

     Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on site to guide motorists. The public transport operators will display notices at the stops and inside vehicle compartments of the affected routes to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
