ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

 

Restricted Zone on Wang Chau Road and Tai Lee Street, Yuen Long

 

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that the following locations will be designated as restricted zone 24 hours daily with effect from 10:00 a.m. on 30 September 2016:

 

(a)

Western kerbside lane of Wang Chau Road from its junction with Yuen Long On Ning Road to a point about 115 metres north of the same junction;

(b)

Eastern kerbside lane of Wang Chau Road from a point about 75 metres north of its junction with Tai Lee Street to northern kerbside lane of Tai Lee Street from a point about 15 metres east from its junction with Wang Chau Road; and

(c)

Eastern kerbside lane of Wang Chau Road from a point about 10 metres south of its junction with Tai Lee Street to souhern kerbside lane of Tai Lee Street from a point about 15 metres east from its junction with Wang Chau Road.

 

Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

 

(a)        picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)       loading or unloading goods.

 

The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

 

At the same time, the existing restricted zones 24 hours daily on the above road section as published in G.N. 769 in 2015 will be rescinded.
