ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Extension of Temporary Restricted Zone at Shanghai Street, Yau Ma Tei

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 16 October 2016 to 11 November 2016, the section of Shanghai Street from its junction with Bowring Street to a point about 55 metres north of the same junction will continue to be temporarily designated a restricted zone 24 hours daily.

     Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b) loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zone has been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

     At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the above road section will continue to be temporarily rescinded.
