ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)
Temporary Restricted Zones in Yau Ma Tei
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 17 November 2016 to 7 December 2016, the following road sections in Yau Ma Tei will be temporarily designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:
- (a) the section of Man Yuen Street from its junction with Ferry Street to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;
- (b) the western kerbside lane of Ferry Street from a point about 10 metres south of its junction with Man Yuen Street to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction; and
- (c) the western kerbside lane of Ferry Street from a point about 15 metres north of its junction with Jordan Road to a point about 50 metres north of the same junction.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
- (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
- (b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
