In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, (Chapter 374 sub. leg. G), I hereby direct that the following road sections of Kwai Cheong Road will be temporarily designated a restricted zone 24 hours daily with effect from 2:00 p.m. on 14 January 2017 until 6:00 a.m. on 16 January 2017 and from 2:00 p.m. on 21 January 2017 until 6:00 a.m. on 23 January 2017:
(a) The western kerbside lane of Kwai Cheong Road (northbound) from a point about 75 meters north of its junction with Kwai Cheong Road (westbound) to a point about 120 meters north of the same junction; and
(b) The eastern kerbside lane of Kwai Cheong Road (northbound) from a point about 65 meters north of its junction with Kwai Cheong Road (westbound) to a point about 120 meters north of the same junction.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road marking.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
