ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374 SUB. LEG. G)

RESTRICTED ZONES IN MA ON SHAN TOWN CENTRE

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374 sub. leg. G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 8 March 2017, the following road sections in Ma On Shan Town Centre will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily.

(i) the western kerbside lane of On Chun Street southbound from its junction with On Chun Street westbound to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction;

(ii) the eastern kerbside lane of On Chun Street southbound from its junction with On Chun Street eastbound to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction;

(iii) the southern kerbside lane of On Chun Street westbound from its junction with On Yuen Street southbound to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction;

(iv) the northern kerbside lane of Sai Sha Road eastbound from its junction with On Yuen Street southbound to a point about 25 metres east of the same junction;

(v) the northern kerbside lane of Sai Sha Road eastbound from its junction with On Yuen Street northbound to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction;

(vi) the western kerbside lane of On Yuen Street northbound from its junction with Sai Sha Road eastbound to a point about 50 metres north of the same junction;

(vii) the western kerbside lane of On Yuen Street northbound from its junction with On Chun Street westbound to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction;

(viii) the southern kerbside lane of slip road leading from Sai Sha Road westbound to On Luk Street southbound;

(ix) the southern kerbside lane of Sai Sha Road westbound from its junction with On Luk Street northbound to a point 20 metres west of the same junction; and

(x) the westhern kerbside lane of slip road leading from On Luk Street northbound to Sai Sha Road westbound

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
