ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

 

Restricted Zones in On Shun Street, Yuen Long

 

In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 17 March 2017, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

 

	(i)	The eastern kerbside lane of On Shun Street northbound between its eastern junction with Yuen Long On Ning Road and On Shun Street eastbound (except the layby); and
	(ii)	The southern kerbside lane of On Shun Street eastbound from its junction with On Shun Street northbound to a point about 75 metres west of the same junction.

 

Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

 

(a)        picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)       loading or unloading goods.

 

        The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

 

At the same time, the existing restricted zones 24 hours daily on the above road section as published in G.N. 1286 in 2014 and G.N. 5260 in 2016 will be rescinded.
