Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in
Lo Wai, Tsuen Wan for Ching Ming Festival 2017


        Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Lo Wai, Tsuen Wan in connection with Ching Ming Festival 2017:

(A) Traffic Arrangements

(I) Road Closure

The section of Lo Wai Road between Lo Wai Pai Lau and Yuen Yuen Institute will be designated as closed road to all vehicular traffic, except franchised buses, taxis, green minibuses, emergency vehicles or vehicles with valid closed road permit, from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on 1, 2, 4, 8 and 9 April 2017.

Free shuttle bus service will be provided at Tai Ho Road opposite to Tsuen Wan West Station and Lo Wai Old Bus Terminus for access to the closed section of Lo Wai Road. Passengers from other vehicles and KMB route no. 32S (operated on 1 and 8 April 2017) may also change at Lo Wai Old Bus Terminus to free shuttle buses for access to the closed section of Lo Wai Road.

(II) Suspension of Parking Spaces

During the above road closure period, all metered parking spaces on Lo Wai Road near Yi Pei Chun Road, Lo Wai Old Bus Terminus and outside Yuen Yuen Institute will be suspended.

(B) Public Transport Arrangements

KMB special bus route no. 32S will be operated on 1 and 8 April 2017 between Castle Peak Road - Tsuen Wan westbound (between Chung On Street and Tai Ho Road) and Tung Po Tor (Lo Wai Old Bus Terminus). The operating hours are as follows:

On 1 and 8 April 2017

From Tsuen Wan (Castle Peak Road)                   From Tung Po Tor

               9.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m.                              9:20 a.m. - 5.20 p.m.

KMB special bus route no. 32P will be operated on 2, 4 and 9 April 2017 between Castle Peak Road - Tsuen Wan westbound (between Chung On Street and Tai Ho Road) and Yuen Yuen Institute. The operating hours are as follows:

Route 32P

On 2, 4 and 9 April 2017

From Tsuen Wan (Castle Peak Road)                   From Yuen Yuen Institute

               9.00 a.m. - 4.30 p.m.                              9:20 a.m. - 5.00 p.m.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be put up and Police Officers will be on-site to guide the public.  Public transport operators will also display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements.  Actual implementation of and adjustments to road closures and traffic control will be made by the Police at the time depending on conditions in the areas. 

        Grave-sweepers who wish to drive to Yuen Yuen Institute are advised to check with Yuen Yuen Institute about the opening hours in addition to the road closure periods.
