Temporary Closure of Fanling Highway Southbound (Kowloon bound), Tai Po

      Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the road works on Fanling Highway, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented during the periods as specified below.

      (I)   ROAD CLOSURE

The following traffic lanes and road sections will be temporarily closed:

1.    18, 23, 24 May, 1 and 2 June 2017 (from 11.30 pm to 1.00 am of the following day)

One traffic lane of Fanling Highway southbound from a point about 200 metres north of its junction with Tai Wo Service Road East near Ho Ka Yuen to Nam Wa Po Footbridge.

2.    19, 24, 25 May, 2 and 3 June 2017 (from 1.00 am to 2.30 am and from 4.30 am to 6.00 am)

The section of Fanling Highway southbound from its junction with Tai Wo Service Road East near Ho Ka Yuen to a point about 900 metres south of Kiu Tau Footbridge.

3.   19, 24, 25 May, 2 and 3 June 2017 (from 2.30 am to 4.30 am)

(a) The section of Fanling Highway southbound between So Kwun Po Road Roundabout and Lam Kam Road Interchange;

(b) The slip road leading from So Kwun Po Road westbound to Fanling Highway southbound;

(c) The slip road leading from Jockey Club Road southbound to Fanling Highway southbound; and

(d) The slip road leading from Pak Wo Road eastbound to Fanling Highway southbound.

      (II)   TRAFFIC DIVERSION

During the road closure period on 19, 24, 25 May, 2 and 3 June 2017 (from 1.00 am to 2.30 am and from 4.30 am to 6.00 am):

(a) vehicles on Fanling Highway southbound heading for Kowloon will be diverted via Tai Wo Service Road East southbound, slip road and Fanling Highway southbound.

During the road closure period on 19, 24, 25 May, 2 and 3 June 2017 (from 2.30 am to 4.30 am):

(a) vehicles on Fanling Highway southbound and So Kwun Po Road westbound heading for Kowloon will be diverted via So Kwun Po Road Roundabout, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, Wo Hing Road eastbound, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange and Tolo Highway southbound.

(b) vehicles on Pak Wo Road eastbound heading for Kowloon will be diverted via Jockey Club Road northbound, Sha Tau Kok Road - Lung Yeuk Tau Roundabout, Jockey Club Road southbound, Wo Hing Road eastbound, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound, Lam Kam Road Interchange and Tolo Highway southbound.

      (III)  PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICES ARRANGEMENTS

During the road closure period on 19, 24, 25 May, 2 and 3 June 2017 (from 1.00 am to 2.30 am and from 4.30 am to 6.00 am):

(A)  Franchised Bus Services

1. KMB route nos. 270A (Tsim Sha Tsui bound), 277X (Lam Tin bound), 278X (Tsuen Wan bound), LW routes nos. N42A and N42P (Tung Chung bound) will be diverted via Tai Wo Service Road East southbound, slip road and Fanling Highway southbound before resuming its normal routeing.

(B)  Green Minibus Services

1. GMB routes nos. 501S (Kwun Tong bound) and 616S (Mong Kok bound) will be diverted via Tai Wo Service Road East southbound, slip road and Fanling Highway southbound before resuming its normal routeing.

During the road closure period on 19, 24, 25 May, 2 and 3 June 2017 (from 2.30 am to 4.30 am):

(A)  Franchised Bus Services

1. LW routes nos. N42A and N42P (Tung Chung bound) will be diverted via San Wan Road southbound, So Kwun Po Road Roundabout, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, Pak Wo Road westbound, Wah Ming Road southbound, roundabout, Wo Hing Road eastbound, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound and Lam Kam Road Interchange before resuming its normal routeing. All en-route stops will be temporarily suspended.

(B)  Green Minibus Services

1. GMB routes no. 501S (Kwun Tong bound) will be diverted via Jockey Club Road northbound, Sha Tau Kok Road - Lung Yeuk Tau Roundabout, Jockey Club Road southbound, Wo Hing Road eastbound, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound and Lam Kam Road Interchange before resuming its normal routeing.

2. GMB routes no. 616S (Mong Kok bound) will be via So Kwun Po Road Roundabout, So Kwun Po Road eastbound, Jockey Club Road southbound, Wo Hing Road eastbound, Tai Wo Service Road West southbound and Lam Kam Road Interchange before resuming its normal routeing.

      Appropriate traffic aids will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive in utmost care.
