ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones on Lai King Hill Road and King Cho Road, Kwai Chung

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 9.00 a.m. on 11 August 2017, the following sections will be designated as restricted zones at the periods as specific below:

        From 7.00 a.m. to 12.00 midnight daily

        (a) the northern kerbside lane of Lai King Hill Road from its southern junction with King Cho Road to a point about 295 metres west of the same junction; and
        (b) the western kerbside lane of King Cho Road from its southern junction with Lai King Hill Road to a point about 26 metres north of the same junction.

        24 hours daily

        (a) the southern kerbside lane of Lai King Hill Road from its junction with the unnamed access road leading to Lai King Estate to a point about 97 metres east of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

        (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
        (b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections would be rescinded.
