ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones on Lai King Hill Road, Kwai Chung

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 9.00 a.m. on 11 August 2017, the following sections of Lai King Hill Road will be designated as restricted zones from 7.00 a.m. to 12.00 midnight daily:

        (a) the western kerbside lane of Lai King Hill Road from its junction with unnamed road leading to Yin Lai Court to a point about 19 metres north of the same junction;
        (b) the western kerbside lane of Lai King Hill Road from a point about 30 metres north of its junction with unnamed road leading to Yin Lai Court to a point about 135 metres north of the same junction; and 
        (c) the western kerbside lane of Lai King Hill Road from a point about 140 metres north of its junction with unnamed road leading to Yin Lai Court to a point about 172 metres north of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

        (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
        (b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the following sections would be rescinded:

        (a) the above road sections; and
        (b) the road section of the unnamed access road leading to Yin Lai Court from a point of about 4 metres west of its junction with Lai King Hill Road to a point of about 9 metres west of the same junction.
