ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CAP.374 SUB. LEG. G)

Temporary Learner Drivers Prohibited Zones on Austin Road West, Tsim Sha Tsui

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations (Cap. 374 sub. leg. G), I hereby direct that with effect from 5:00 a.m. on 17 September 2017 to 31 December 2017, the following sessions of Austin Road West will be temporarily designated as learner drivers prohibited zones 24 hours daily. -

     (a) Austin Road West (eastbound) from its junction with Nga Cheung Road  Flyover, via Austin Road West underpass, to the junction of Austin Road West  and Canton Road;
     (b) Austin Road West (westbound) from its  junction with Canton Road, via  Austin Road West underpass, to the junction of Austin Road West and Nga  Cheung Road Flyover. 

     Learner drivers, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from driving any vehicles into the prohibited zone 24 hours daily.

     The extent of the prohibited zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs.
