ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Tai Hang

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 6 October 2017, the following road sections in Tai Hang will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a) the southern kerbside lane of Tai Hang Road from a point about 15 metres west of its eastern junction with an unnamed access road connecting Tai Hang Road and St. John Ambulance Brigade Hong Kong Island Command Headquarters to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction; and

(b) the section of an unnamed access road connecting Tai Hang Road and St. John Ambulance Brigade Hong Kong Island Command Headquarters from its eastern junction with Tai Hang Road to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
