ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Temporary Restricted Zones in Sheung Shing Lane, Ho Man Tin

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 27 October 2017, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily (except general holidays):

(a) The eastern kerside lane of Sheung Shing Lane from a point about 10 metres south of its junction with Sheung Shing Street to a point about 130 metres south of the same junction;

(b) The eastern kerside lane of Sheung Shing Lane from a point about 5 metres north of its junction with Ho Man Tin Estate estate road to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;

(c) The western kerside lane of Sheung Shing Lane from a point about 10 metres south of its junction with Sheung Shing Street to a point about 75 metres south of the same junction;

(d) The western kerside lane of Sheung Shing Lane from a point about 75 metres south of its junction with Sheung Shing Street to a point about 100 metres south of the same junction (except franchised buses, school private light buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport); and

(e) The western kerside lane of Sheung Shing Lane from a point about 100 metres south of its junction with Sheung Shing Street to a point about 145 metres south of the same junction.

     Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b) loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
