Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations(Chapter 374)

Restricted Zones in Hoi Pa Street and Heung Che Street, Tsuen Wan

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 17 November 2017, the following road sections in Tsuen Wan will be designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a)  Both kerbside lanes of Hoi Pa Street from its junction with Heung Che Street to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction;

(b)  The eastern kerbside lane of Heung Che Street from a point about 5 metres south of its junction with Hoi Pa Street to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction; and

(c)  The western kerbside lane of Heung Che Street from its junction with Hoi Pa Street to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
