TRAFFIC ADVICE

Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on Lung Cheung Road, Shek Kip Mei

        Motorists are advised that to facilitate road works, with effect from 9.00 pm on 21 November 2017 to 5.30 am on 22 November 2017, the following traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on Lung Cheung Road:-

Temporary Banning of Turning Movements

All vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from making left-turn movement from Lung Cheung Road westbound onto Nam Cheong Street southbound.

All vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from making U-turn movement from Nam Cheong Street northbound (near Lung Cheung Road) onto Nam Cheong Street southbound.

Traffic Diversion

Affected vehicles on Lung Cheung Road westbound (near Lung Yin Road), including KMB route no. 214 (Cheung Sha Wan bound),  will be diverted via Lung Yin Road southbound, Chuk Yuen Road southbound, Junction Road westbound, Waterloo Road northbound, Cornwall Street westbound and Nam Cheong Street before resuming its normal routeing.

Affected vehicles on Lion Rock Tunnel Road southbound, including KMB route nos. 86, 86A and 87B (Cheung Sha Wan and Island Harbourview bound), will be diverted via Waterloo Road southbound, Cornwall Street westbound and Nam Cheong Street before resuming its normal routeing.

Bus Stops Arrangements

The existing bus stops on Lung Cheung Road westbound (opposite to Beacon Heights), except KMB route nos. 86, 86A, 87B and 214, will be temporarily relocated  to the adjoining slow lane.

The existing bus stops of KMB route nos. 86, 86A, 87B and 214 will be temporarily suspended:-

  1. Lung Cheung Road westbound (opposite to Phoenix House);
  2. Lung Cheung Road westbound (opposite to Beacon Heights); and
  3. Nam Cheong Street southbound (opposite to Chak On Estate).

Temporary bus stops will be provided for KMB route nos. 86, 86A, 87B and 214:-

  1. Cornwall Street westbound near Kent Road;
  2. Cornwall Street westbound near Shek Kip Mei Park; and
  3. Cornwall Street westbound near Society of Boys' Centres Chak Yan Centre.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Public transport operators will display notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
