ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter  374)

Restricted Zones on Mau Yip Road, Tseung Kwan O

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation (14)(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 29 December 2017, the following road sections in Tseung Kwan O will be designated as restricted zones during the hours stated below:

24 hours daily

(a) the eastern kerbside lane of Mau Yip Road from a point about 50 metres north of its junction with Wan Hang Road to a point about 140 metres north of the same junction; and

(b) the eastern kerbside lane of the service road of Mau Yip Road leading to the taxi stand from its southern junction with Mau Yip Road to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction.

From 7.00 a.m. to 12.00 midnight daily

the eastern kerbside lane of Mau Yip Road from a point about 10 metres north of its junction with Wan Hang Road to a point about 50 metres north of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
