Temporary Traffic Arrangements on Ping Ha Road, Tin Shui Wai

      Members of the public are advised that to facilitate the road maintenance works, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented from 11.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m. on the following day on 9 and 16 January 2018:

(A)     Road Closure

One of the traffic lanes on the section of Ping Ha Road between Ping Shan Nam Pak Road and Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan will be closed. Vehicles on Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan heading for Ping Ha Road will be banned.

(B)     Banning of vehicle turning movement

Vehicles will be prohibited from making right turn from Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan westbound onto Ping Ha Road northbound;

Vehicles will be prohibited from making right turn from Ping Hing Lane westbound onto Ping Ha Road northbound;

Vehicles will be prohibited from making right turn from Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan eastbound onto Ping Ha Road northbound; and

Vehicles will be prohibited from going straight from Tong Yan San Tsuen Road northbound onto Ping Ha Road northbound.

(C)     Traffic Diversion

The section of Ping Ha Road northbound between Ping Shan Nam Pak Road and Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan will be re-routed one way southbound;

 

Affected motorists on Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan westbound heading to Ping Ha Road northbound are advised to travel via Tong Yan San Tsuen Road southbound,   San Hi Tsuen Street northbound, Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan eastbound, Shui Pin Wai Interchange, Long Tin Road northbound, Tin Fuk Road westbound and Ping Ha Road southbound; and

 

Affected motorists on Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan eastbound, Ping Hing Lane westbound and Tong Yan San Tsuen Road northbound heading to Ping Ha Road northbound are advised to travel via Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan eastbound, Shui Pin Wai Interchange, Long Tin Road northbound, Tin Fuk Road westbound and Ping Ha Road southbound.

 

(D)     Public Transport Arrangements

During period of road closure (from 11.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m. on the following day on 9 and 16 January 2018), the following temporary public transport services arrangement will be implemented:

Bus services

i.          Route diversion

(1)   KMB route no. 53 (Tsuen Wan bound) will be re-routed to operate via Tong Yan San Tsuen Road southbound, San Hi Tsuen Street northbound, Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan eastbound, Shui Pin Wai Interchange, Long Tin Road northbound, Tin Fuk Road westbound before resuming its normal routing.

(2)   KMB route no. 276 (Tin Tsz bound) will be re-routed to operate via Tong Yan San Tsuen Road southbound, San Hi Tsuen Street northbound, Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan eastbound, Shui Pin Wai Interchange, Long Tin Road northbound, Tin Fuk Road westbound before resuming its normal routing.

(3)   MTR Bus route no. K65 (Lau Fau Shan bound) will be re-routed to operate via Hung Tin Road northbound, Ping Ha Road eastbound, Ping Ha Road southbound, Kiu Fat Street and Ping Ha Road northbound before resuming its normal routing.

New Territories GMB route nos. 33, 34 and 35 will be diverted at Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan westbound via Tong Yan San Tsuen Road southbound, San Hi Tsuen Street northbound, Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan eastbound, Shui Pin Wai Interchange, Long Tin Road northbound, Tin Fuk Road before resuming its original routing.

GMB routes 33, 34 and 35

Appropriate traffic aids will be provided on site to guide motorist.  The bus company and GMB operator will display notices at the above stop to advise passengers of the temporary arrangement.
