Temporary Closure of Fanling Highway, Tai Po and North District
Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the road works on Fanling Highway, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented during the periods as specified below.
(I) ROAD CLOSURE
The following traffic lanes and road sections will be temporarily closed:
1. 13 January 2018 (from 11.30 pm to 1.00 am of the following day)
One traffic lane of Fanling Highway northbound from a point about 200 metres south of Tai Hang Footbridge to a point about 50 metres south of Ho Ka Yuen Footbridge.
2. 14 January 2018 (from 12.30 am to 6.00 am)
The slip road leading from Hong Lok Yuen Road to Fanling Highway northbound.
3. 14 January 2018 (from 1.00 am to 6.00 am)
The section of Fanling Highway northbound from its junction with Tolo Highway to its junction with So Kwun Po Road roundabout.
4. 14 January 2018 (from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm)
(a) One traffic lane of Fanling Highway northbound from a point about 350 metres south of Tai Hang Footbridge to a point about 200 metres south of Kiu Tau Footbridge; and
(b) The slip road leading from Hong Lok Yuen Road to Fanling Highway northbound.
5. 14 January 2018 (from 6.00 pm to 11.59 pm)
One traffic lane of Fanling Highway northbound from Nam Wa Po Footbridge to a point about 200 metres south of Kiu Tau Footbridge.
6. 15 January 2018 (from 12.00 midnight to 4.00 am)
Two traffic lanes of Fanling Highway northbound from a point about 200 metres south of Tai Hang Footbridge to a point about 50 metres south of Ho Ka Yuen Footbridge.
(II) TRAFFIC DIVERSION
1. 14 January 2018 (from 1.00 am to 6.00 am)
Vehicles on Tolo Highway northbound, Tai Po Tai Wo Road or Tai Po Road – Tai Wo northbound heading for Fanling will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road southbound, roundabout, Wah Ming Road northbound, Pak Wo Road westbound, So Kwun Po Road northbound, So Kwun Po Road roundabout and Fanling Highway northbound.
2. 14 January 2018 (from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm)
(a) Vehicles on Hong Lok Yuen Road heading for Fanling and Sheung Shui will be diverted via Tai Po Road – Tai Wo southbound, Tai Po Tai Wo Road westbound, slip road and Tolo Highway northbound.
(b) Vehicles on Hong Lok Yuen Road or Tai Po Road – Tai Wo northbound heading for Fanling and Sheung Shui will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road southbound, roundabout, Wah Ming Road northbound, Pak Wo Road westbound, So Kwun Po Road northbound, So Kwun Po Road roundabout and Fanling Highway northbound.
(III) PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICES ARRANGEMENTS
During the road closure period on 14 January 2018 (from 1.00 am to 6.00 am) :
(A) Franchised Bus Services
(1) KMB route nos. 270A (Sheung Shui bound), 270S (Luen Wo Hui bound), 277E (Tin Ping Estate bound) and 278X (Sheung Shui bound) will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road southbound, roundabout, Wah Ming Road northbound and Pak Wo Road westbound before resuming its normal routing.
(2) KMB route no. 277X (Luen Wo Hui bound) will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road southbound and roundabout before resuming its normal routing. The en-route stop at Wo Hing Tsuen will be suspended.
(3) LWB route no. N42A (Luen Wo Hui bound) will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road southbound, roundabout, Wah Ming Road northbound, Pak Wo Road westbound, So Kwun Po Road northbound and So Kwun Po Road roundabout before resuming its normal routing.
(B) Green Minibus Services
(1) GMB route no. 501S (Sheung Shui bound) will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road southbound, roundabout and Wah Ming Road westbound before resuming its normal routing.
(2) GMB route no. 616S (Lok Ma Chau bound) will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road westbound, slip road, Pak Wo Road northbound, Jockey Club Road northbound, So Kwun Po Road southbound and So Kwun Po Road roundabout before resuming its normal routing.
Appropriate traffic aids will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive in utmost care.
