ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in North Point

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 26 January 2018, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a)  the southern kerbside lane of King’s Road from its junction with Mount Parker Road to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;

(b)  the western kerbside lane of Mount Parker Road from a point about 50 metres south of its junction with King’s Road to the same junction;

(c)  the eastern kerbside lane of Mount Parker Road between King’s Road and Quarry Bay Street; and

(d)  the eastern kerbside lane of Quarry Bay Street from its junction with Mount Parker Road to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
