ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Sham Shui Po

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 28 April 2018, the following road sections in Sham Shui Po will be designated as restricted zones during the time periods specified below:-

(a) From 7.00 am to 12.00 midnight daily

     the eastern kerbside lane of Yen Chow Street from its junction with Cheung Sha Wan Road to a point about 40 metres north of the same junction;

(b) From 7.00 am to 12.00 midnight daily (except general holidays)

     the northern kerbside lane of Cheung Sha Wan Road from a point about 90 metres west of its junction with Yen Chow Street to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;

(c) 24 hours daily

 (i) the eastern kerbside lane of Yen Chow Street from its junction with Cheung Sha Wan Road to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction; and 

(ii) the western kerbside lane of Yen Chow Street from a point about 80 metres south of its junction with Cheung Sha Wan Road to a point about 135 metres south of the same junction.

  Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
