ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones at Hai Tan Street, Sham Shui Po 

 

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 12 May 2018, the following road sections at Hai Tan Street will be designated as restricted zones during the time periods specified below:-

(a) From 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily

the southern kerbside lane of Hai Tan Street from its junction with Kweilin Street to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction;

(b) From 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily (except general holidays)

(i) the southern kerbside lane of Hai Tan Street from its junction with Kweilin Street to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction; and
(ii) the southern kerbside lane of Hai Tan Street from a point about 50 metres west of its junction with Kweilin Street to a point about 70 metres west of the same junction.

     Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except taxis, franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

     At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
