TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE
Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Causeway Bay
Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the road repair works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented during the periods specified below:
I. From about 11.00 pm to 5.45 am of the following day on 14 and 21 June 2018
(a) Road Closure
The following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:
(i) The Wan Chai Interchange slip road leading from Gloucester Road eastbound to Canal Road flyover southbound; and
(ii) The right lane of Wan Chai Interchange southbound between Tunnel Approach Rest Garden and Canal Road flyover.
(b) Traffic Diversion
Affected vehicles on Gloucester Road eastbound heading for Canal Road flyover southbound will be diverted via Hung Hing Road flyover, Victoria Park Road eastbound, Victoria Park Road flyover, Gloucester Road westbound and the Wan Chai Interchange slip road leading from Gloucester Road westbound to Canal Road flyover southbound.
(c) Bus Diversion
Citybus Routes 70 (Wah Kwai bound), 260 (Stanley bound) and New World First Bus route 590 (South Horizons bound) will be diverted via Hung Hing Road flyover, Victoria Park Road eastbound, Victoria Park Road flyover, Gloucester Road westbound and the Wan Chai Interchange slip road leading from Gloucester Road westbound to Canal Road flyover southbound.
II. From about 11.00 pm to 5.45 am of the following day on 3 and 5 July 2018
(a) Road Closure
The following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:
(i) The Wan Chai Interchange slip road leading from Gloucester Road eastbound to Canal Road flyover southbound; and
(ii) The left lane of Wan Chai Interchange southbound between Tunnel Approach Rest Garden and Canal Road flyover.
(b) Traffic Diversion
Affected vehicles on Gloucester Road eastbound heading for Canal Road flyover southbound will be diverted via Hung Hing Road flyover, Victoria Park Road eastbound, Victoria Park Road flyover, Gloucester Road westbound and the Wan Chai Interchange slip road leading from Gloucester Road westbound to Canal Road flyover southbound.
(c) Bus Diversion
Citybus Routes 70 (Wah Kwai bound), 260 (Stanley bound) and New World First Bus route 590 (South Horizons bound) will be diverted via Hung Hing Road flyover, Victoria Park Road eastbound, Victoria Park Road flyover, Gloucester Road westbound and the Wan Chai Interchange slip road leading from Gloucester Road westbound to Canal Road flyover southbound.
Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on site to guide motorists. The bus companies will display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements.
