ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
Restricted Zones in Kwun Tong


        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 20 October 2023, the following road sections in Kwun Tong will be designated as restricted zones from 8.00 am to 10.00 am and from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm daily (except general holidays):


(a)     the western kerbside lane of Lai Yip Street from its junction with Hoi Bun Road to its junction with Wai Yip Street;

(b)     the western kerbside lane of the slip road connecting Lai Yip Street northbound and Wai Yip Street westbound; and

(c)     the southern kerbside lane of Wai Yip Street from its junction with the aforementioned slip road to a point about 515 metres west of the same junction.


        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses, taxis and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:


(a)    picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)    loading or unloading goods.


        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs or road markings.


        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
