ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)
Restricted Zones in Tai Po

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 22 December 2023, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

    1. the southern kerbside lane of Lo Fai Road from its junction with Lo Ping Road to a point about 35 metres west of the same junction;
    2. the northern kerbside lane of Lo Fai Road from a point about 15 metres east of its junction with Lo Ping Road to a point about 30 metres west of the same junction;
    3. the western kerbside lane of Lo Ping Road from its junction with Lo Fai Road to a point about 30 metres north of the same junction;
    4. the eastern kerbside lane of Lo Ping Road (excluding the lay-by) from its southern junction with the access road connecting Lo Ping Road and Lo Ping Road Public Transport Interchange to its junction with Lo Fai Road;
    5. the section of the exit road of Lo Ping Road Public Transport Interchange from its junction with Lo Ping Road to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction; and
    6. the southern kerbside lane of the access road connecting Lo Ping Road and Lo Ping Road Public Transport Interchange from its southern junction with Lo Ping Road to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

    1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs or road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
