ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
Extension of TemporaryRestricted Zones in To Kwa Wan


        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.01 pm on 31 December 2023 to 10.00 pm on 30 June 2024, the following road sections in To Kwa Wan will continue to be temporarily designated as restricted zones during the time periods specified below:-


24 hours daily


(i)     The eastern kerbside lane of To Kwa Wan Road southbound from its junction with San Ma Tau Street to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;

(ii)    The northern kerbside lane of San Ma Tau Street eastbound from its junction with To Kwa Wan Road to a point about 30 metres east of the same junction;

(iii)   The northern kerbside lane of San Ma Tau Street eastbound from a point about 120 metres east to its junction with To Kwa Wan Road to a point about 150 metres east of the same junction;

(iv)   The eastern kerbside lane of San Ma Tau Street southbound from a point about 160 metres east to its junction with To Kwa Wan Road to a point about 290 metres east of the same junction;

(v)    The southern kerbside lane of San Ma Tau Street eastbound from its junction with To Kwa Wan Road to a point about 115 metres east of the same junction;

(vi)   The western kerbside lane of San Ma Tau Street southbound from a point about 150 metres east to its junction with To Kwa Wan Road to a point about 185 metres east of the same junction;

(vii)  The southern kerbside lane of San Ma Tau Street westbound from a point about 40 metres east of its junction with To Kwa Wan Road to a point about 100 metres east of the same junction;

(viii) The southern kerbside lane of San Ma Tau Street westbound from a point about 110 metres east of its junction with To Kwa Wan Road to a point about 125 metres east of the same junction;

(ix)    The northern kerbside lane of San Ma Tau Street westbound from a point about 60 metres east of its junction with To Kwa Wan  Road to a point about 120 metres east of the same junction;

(x)    The southern kerbside lane of San Ma Tau Street eastbound from a point about 210 metres east of its junction with To Kwa Wan Road to a point about 250 metres east of the same junction; and

(xi)   The western kerbside lane of San Ma Tau Street eastbound from a point about 260 metres east of its junction with To Kwa Wan Road to a point about 290 metres east of the same junction.


        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:


(a)    picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)    loading or unloading goods.


        The extent of the restricted zones have been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.


        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will continue to be temporarily rescinded.
