ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
Restricted Zones in Kwun Tong


        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 5 January 2024, the following road sections in Kwun Tong will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:


(a)     The eastern kerbside lane of How Ming Street from its junction with Hung To Road to a point about 30 metres west of the same junction;

(b)     The eastern kerbside lane of How Ming Street from its junction with Hung To Road to a point about 80 metres east of the same junction;

(c)     The western kerbside lane of How Ming Street from its junction with Hung To Road to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction;

(d)     The northern kerbside lane of Hung To Road from its junction with How Ming Street to a point about 30 metres west of the same junction;

(e)     The northern kerbside lane of Hung To Road from its junction with How Ming Street to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction; and

(f)     The southern kerbside lane of Hung To Road from a point about 10 metres west of its junction with How Ming Street to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction.


        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:


(a)    picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)    loading or unloading goods.


        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
