ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (Chapter 374)
Extension of Temporary Speed Limit on Clear Water Bay Road and New Clear Water Bay Road
In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 6.00 p.m. on 31 January 2024 to 6.00 p.m. on 31 July 2024, the following sections will continue to be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour: -
(a) the section of Clear Water Bay Road westbound from a point about 400 metres east of its junction with On Sau Road to a point about 15 metres north of its eastern junction with New Clear Water Bay Road;
(b) the section of Clear Water Bay Road eastbound from a point of about 15 metres north of its eastern junction with New Clear Water Bay Road to a point of about 400 metres east of its junction with On Sau Road;
(c) the section of New Clear Water Bay Road westbound from its eastern junction with Clear Water Bay Road to a point about 460 meters west of the same junction; and
(d) the section of New Clear Water Bay Road eastbound from its eastern junction with Clear Water Bay Road to a point about 460 meters west of the same junction.
Appropriate traffic signs have been erected on site to guide motorists.
At the same time, the existing speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour on the above road sections will continue to be temporarily rescinded.
