ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
Restricted Zones on Hang Yip Street, Kwun Tong


        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 19 January 2024, the following road sections in Kwun Tong will be designated as restricted zones from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily:


(a)     the northern kerbside lane of Hang Yip Street from a point about 40 metres east of its junction with Yan Yip Street to a point about 60 metres east of the same junction;

(b)     the western kerbside lane of Hang Yip Street from a point about 60 metres east of its junction with Yan Yip Street to a point about 110 metres north of the aforementioned starting point (excluding the parking spaces for goods vehicles); and

(c)     the southern kerbside lane of Hang Yip Street from a point about 5 metres east of its junction with Kwun Tong Road to a point about 40 metres east of the same junction.


        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses, taxis and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:


(a)    picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)    loading or unloading goods.


        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs or road markings.


        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
