ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
Restricted Zones on How Ming Street, Kwun Tong


        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 19 January 2024, the following road sections in Kwun Tong will be designated as restricted zones from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily (except general holidays):


(a)     the western kerbside lane of How Ming Street from a point about 15 metres north of its junction with Hoi Bun Road to a point about 85 metres north of the same junction (excluding the loading and unloading areas); and

(b)     the eastern kerbside lane of How Ming Street from a point about 15 metres north of its junction with Hoi Bun Road to a point about 85 metres north of the same junction.


        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses, taxis and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:


(a)    picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)    loading or unloading goods.


        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs or road markings.


        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
