ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
Restricted Zones in Kowloon Bay


        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 2 February 2024, the following sections in Kowloon Bay will be designated as restricted zone
s 24 hours daily:-


(a)     the southern kerbside lane of Kai Shun Road from a point about 10 metres west of its junction with Wang Kwong Road to its junction with Kai Shing Street (except the loading and unloading area);

(b)     the northern kerbside lane of Kai Shun Road from its junction with Kai Shing Street to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;

(c)     the eastern kerbside lane of Kai Shing Street from a point about 25 metres north of its junction with Kai Shun Road to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;

(d)     the northern kerbside lane of Kai Wah Street from its junction with Wang Kwong Road to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;

(e)     the western kerbside lane of Wang Kwong Road from its junction with Kai Wah Street to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction; and

(f)     the southern kerbside lane of Kai Shing Street between Shing Kai Road and Kai Wah Street.


        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:


(a)    picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)    loading or unloading goods.


        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.


        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
