ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
Extension of Temporary Restricted Zones in Hok Yuen Street and Sung Chi Street, Hung Hom


        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 12.00 midnight on 1 March 2024 to 11.59 pm on 31 July 2024, the following road sections will continue to be temporarily designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-


(a)     the northern kerbside lane of Hok Yuen Street from a point about 5 metres east of its junction with Ma Tau Wai Road to a point about 60 metres east of the same junction;

(b)     the southern kerbside lane of Hok Yuen Street from a point about 5 metres east of its junction with Ma Tau Wai Road to a point about 75 metres east of the same junction;

(c)     the section of Sung Chi Street from its junction with Hok Yuen Street to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction; and

(d)     the northern kerbside lane of Hok Yuen Street from its junction with Sung Chi Street to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction.


        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:


(a)    picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)    loading or unloading goods.


        The extent of the restricted zones has been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.


        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will continue to be temporarily rescinded.
