Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on South Lantau Road, Lantau Island
Member of the public are advised that, to facilitate cable duct laying works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangement with be implemented on South Lantau Road from 10 a.m. on 12 April 2024 (Friday) to 6 p.m. on 31 May 2024 (Friday):
- Lane conversion
The section of South Lantau Road from a point about 290 metres west of its junction with Cheung Fu Street to a point about 350 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily converted from two-lane two-way traffic into one-lane two-way traffic.
- Suspension of parking places
10 non-metered parking places for private cars on South Lantau Road near Old Tung Chung Road will be suspended.
- Temporary bus stop relocation
The Cheung Sha Bridge bus stop on South Lantau Road westbound for NLB Route Nos. 1, 2, 4, 11, 11A, 23, A35, N1 and N35 will be temporarily relocated about 70 metres backward.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Notices will be displayed by the bus company to inform passengers of the above temporary arrangements.
