TRAFFIC ADVICE
Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on Shing Kai Road, Kai Tak
Motorists are advised that to facilitate lifting works for Kai Tak Sports Park, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented on Shing Kai Road daily from 11.00 pm to 5.40 am of the following day on Mondays to Thursdays (expect public holidays) from 29 April 2024 to 21 May 2024. Details are as follows:
I. Road Closure
The section of Shing Kai Road between Sung Wong Tai Road and Muk Tai Street will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.
II. Traffic Diversion
(a) Affected vehicles from Sung Wong Toi Street eastbound heading to Shing Kai Road will be diverted via To Kwa Wan Road southbound, Ma Tau Kok Road eastbound, Ma Tau Kok Road westbound, Kowloon City Road northbound, Sung Wang Toi Road westbound, Ma Tau Chung Road northbound, Prince Edward Road East northbound, Olympic Avenue elevated road northbound and Concorde Road eastbound;
(b) Affected vehicles from To Kwa Wan Road northbound heading to Shing Kai Road will be diverted via Sung Wang Toi Road westbound, Ma Tau Chung Road northbound, Prince Edward Road East northbound, Olympic Avenue elevated road northbound and Concorde Road eastbound; and
(c) Affected vehicles from Shing Kai Road westbound heading to Sung Wong Toi Road will be diverted via Kai Shing Street eastbound, Kai Wah Street eastbound, Wang Kwong Road southbound, Kai Cheung Road westbound, Kai Fuk Road westbound, Kai Tak Tunnel, San Shan Road eastbound and To Kwa Wan Road northbound.
III. Public Transport Arrangements
(i) Suspended Bus Stops
(a) The existing bus stop for CTB Route Nos. 22M, A25 and XHT Route No. 608 on Shing Kai Road eastbound opposite to Electrical and Mechanical Services Department Headquarters will be temporarily suspended;
(b) The existing bus stop for CTB Route Nos. 22M, A25 and XHT Route No. 608 on Shing Kai Road eastbound near Muk Tai Street will be temporarily suspended;
(c) The existing bus stop for CTB Route No. A25 and XHT Route No. 608 on Shing Kai Road westbound near Electrical and Mechanical Services Department Headquarters will be temporarily suspended; and
(d) The existing bus stop for CTB Route No. A25 and XHT Route No. 608 on To Kwa Wan Road southbound near Grand Waterfront will be temporarily suspended;
(ii) Bus Diversions
(a) CTB Route Nos. 22M (Kai Tak Cruise Terminal bound), A25 (Kai Tak bound) and XHT Route No. 608 (Shai Kei Wan bound) will be temporarily diverted via To Kwa Wan Road northbound, Sung Wang Toi Road westbound, Ma Tau Chung Road northbound, Prince Edward Road East northbound, Olympic Avenue elevated road northbound, Concorde Road eastbound and Shing Kai Road southbound before resuming to its original routing ; and
(b) CTB Route No. A25 (Airport bound) and XHT Route No. 608 (Kowloon City bound) will be temporarily diverted via Shing Kai Road eastbound, Kai Shing Street southbound, Kai Wah Street eastbound, Wang Kwong Road southbound, Kai Cheung Road westbound, Kai Fuk Road westbound, Kai Tak Tunnel, San Shan Road eastbound and To Kwa Wan Road southbound before resuming to its original routing.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. The public transport operators will be display notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
