Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements for Dragon Dance in Yuen Long

Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Yuen Long to facilitate the procession of Dragon Dance event in Yuen Long on 27 April 2024 (Saturday):
(A) Road Closure

The following sections of roads will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 12:00 noon until completion of the procession on 27 April 2024. The actual implementation time of road closure may be advanced if necessary.

(I)

The leftmost lane of Long Yat Road between Long Yip Street and Long Wo Road;

(II)

Long Yip Street;

(III)

Hong Yip Street between Po Yip Street and Yuen Long Kau Hui Road;

(IV)

Yuen Long Kau Hui Road;

(V)

Shan Pui Road east of Yuen Long Kau Hui Road; and

(VI)

Long Wo Road between Ying Lung Wai and Long Yat Road.
(B) Cycling Track Closure

The sections of cycling tracks in vicinity of Long Yip Street and Po Yip Street will be intermittently closed from 12:00 noon until completion of the procession on 27 April 2024. The actual implementation time of cycling track closure may be advanced if necessary.
(C) Attention and Appeal

The public transport operators will display notices at the stops and inside vehicle compartments to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements. Actual implementation of and adjustments to road closures, traffic control and public transport services diversions will be made by the Police at the time depending on the prevailing circumstances, traffic and crowd conditions in the areas. Members of the public should pay attention to the route diversions.

Motorists are advised not to drive to the affected areas, and to drive with utmost care and patience and take heed of the instruction given by the Police on site.
