In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 0.00 midnight to 6.00 am on 15 May 2025, the following road sections will be subject to the temporary speed limit as specified below:-

(A) 80 kilometres per hour

The section of North Lantau Highway eastbound from a point about 1800 metres west of its junction with the slip road leading to Penny's Bay Highway southbound to a point about 1300 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour.

(B) 50 kilometres per hour

The section of North Lantau Highway eastbound from a point about 1300 metres west of its junction with the slip road leading to Penny's Bay Highway southbound to a point about 300 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

       Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

       At the same time, the existing speed limit of 110 kilometres per hour on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
