In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 1.00 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. daily on 20 and 21 May 2025, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to the speed limits as specified below:

1. the section of Fanling Highway northbound from a point about 10 metres south of its junction with Kau Lung Hang Vehicular Bridge to a point about 440 metres north of of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour;
2. the section of Fanling Highway northbound from a point about 440 metres north of its junction with Kau Lung Hang Vehicular Bridge to a point about 1510 metres north of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour; and
3. the section of the slip road leading from Heung Yuen Wai Highway to Fanling Highway northbound from a point about 220 metres south of its junction with Fanling Highway northbound to the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

          Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

          At the same time, the existing speed limits on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
