ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN WESTERN DISTRICT

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 6.00 pm on 20 June 2025, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily: —

    1. The eastern kerbside lane of Connaught Road West from its junction with Des Voeux Road West to a point about 35 metres north of the same junction;
    2. The section of Des Voeux Road West from its junction with Hill Road to a point about 45 metres east of the same junction;
    3. The section of Hill Road from its junction with Des Voeux Road West to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;
    4. The southern kerbside lane of Connaught Road West from its junction with Whitty Street to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction;
    5. The western kerbside lane of Whitty Street from its junction with Connaught Road West to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction;
    6. The eastern kerbside lane of Whitty Street from its junction with Connaught Road West to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;
    7. The southern kerbside lane of Connaught Road West between Whitty Street and Ka On Street;
    8. The western kerbside lane of Ka On Street from its junction with Connaught Road West to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;
    9. The section of Whitty Street from its junction with Des Voeux Road West to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;
    10. The northern kerbside lane of Shing Sai Road eastbound from its junction with the slip road connecting Shing Sai Road and Fung Mat Road to a point about 115 metres west of the same junction;
    11. The southern kerbside lane of Shing Sai Road westbound from its junction with the slip road connecting Des Voeux Road West and Shing Sai Road to a point about 135 metres west of the same junction;
    12. The western kerbside lane of the slip road connecting Des Voeux Road West and Shing Sai Road;
    13. The northern kerbside lane of Des Voeux Road West eastbound from a point about 40 metres west of its junction with the slip road connecting Des Voeux Road West and Shing Sai Road to a point about 60 metres west of the same junction;
    14. The southern kerbside lane of Des Voeux Road West westbound from its junction with Hill Road to a point about 105 metres west of the same junction;
    15. The southern kerbside lane of Fung Mat Road from its junction with the slip road connecting Shing Sai Road and Fung Mat Road to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction; and
    16. The eastern kerbside lane of the slip road connecting Shing Sai Road and Fung Mat Road.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from: —

    1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones have been indicated by appropriate road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
