Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on Kwai Chung Road, Kwai Chung

Members of the public are advised that to facilitate road works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on Kwai Chung Road from 0.45 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. on 10 to 14 and 18 June 2025 respectively. Details are as follows:

The following road sections will be closed to all vehicular traffic:

• The flyover section of Kwai Chung Road (southbound) between Kwai Hing Road and Kwai Fong Terrace, and the at-grade road section of Kwai Chung Road (southbound) between Kwai Fong Terrace and Lai King Station; and
• The road section of Kwai Chung Road (northbound) from its junction with slip road to Container Port Road South (Container Terminal 1, 2 and 5) to a point about 200 meters north of the same junction.

• Affected vehicles on Kwai Chung Road (southbound) heading for Kowloon will be diverted to travel via Kwai Chung Road (southbound) at-grade, the slip road from Kwai Chung Road to Route 5, Tsuen Wan Road (southbound) and Kwai Chung Road (southbound); and
• Affected vehicles on Kwai Chung Road (northbound) heading for Kwai Chung will be diverted to travel via Container Port Road South (northbound), Container Port Road South (southbound), Container Port Road South Roundabout No.1, Container Port Road South (northbound) and Kwai Chung Road (northbound).

• The KMB Routes No. N260, N269 and N290 heading to Kowloon via Kwai Chung Road (southbound) will be diverted to travel via the slip road from Kwai Chung Road to Route 5 and Tsuen Wan Road (southbound) before resuming the original routeing. The bus stop of the aforementioned KMB Routes on Kwai Chung Road (southbound) near Lai King Estate will be temporarily suspended; and
• The KMB Routes No. 33A, 37, 40, 290A, N252, N260, N269 and N290 heading to Kwai Chung via Kwai Chung Road (northbound) will be diverted to travel via Container Port Road South (northbound), Container Port Road South (southbound), Container Port Road South Roundabout No.1, Container Port Road South (northbound) before resuming the original routeing. The bus stop of the aforementioned KMB Routes on Kwai Chung Road (northbound) near Lai King Estate will be temporarily suspended.

Motorists are advised to drive with upmost care and patience. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Public transport operators will display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements.
