Temporary Speed Limits on North Lantau Highway

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 p.m. on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to 6.00 a.m. of the following day during the period from 20 June to 8 July 2025, the following road sections of North Lantau Highway will be temporarily subject to the speed limits as described below:

1. 1. The section of North Lantau Highway westbound from a point about 200 metres west of its junction with Penny's Bay Highway northbound to a point about 700 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour; and
   2. the section of North Lantau Highway westbound from a point about 700 metres west of its junction with Penny's Bay Highway northbound to a point about 2950 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

At the same time, the existing speed limits on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
