In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 1.00 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. daily between 19 and 24 July 2025, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to the speed limits as described below:

(i)     From 1.00 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. on 19 and 20 July 2025

1. the section of Fanling Highway westbound from a point about 600 metres east of its junction with the slip road leading to Kwu Tung Road to a point about 250 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour; and
2. the section of Fanling Highway westbound from a point about 250 metres west of its junction with the slip road leading to Kwu Tung Road to a point about 1,200 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

(ii)    From 1.00 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. on 21, 22 and 23 July 2025

1. the section of Fanling Highway westbound from a point about 600 metres east of its junction with the slip road leading to Kwu Tung Road to a point about 250 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour;
2. the section of Fanling Highway westbound from a point about 250 metres west of its junction with the slip road leading to Kwu Tung Road to a point about 1,200 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour;
3. the section of San Tin Highway eastbound from a point about 420 metres west of of its junction with the slip road leading to San Sham Road to a point about 100 metres east of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour; and
4. the section of San Tin Highway eastbound from a point about 100 metres east of of its junction with the slip road leading to San Sham Road to a point about 1,120 metres east of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

(iii)   From 1.00 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. on 24 July 2025

1. the section of San Tin Highway eastbound from a point about 420 metres west of its junction with the slip road leading to San Sham Road to a point about 100 metres east of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour; and
2. the section of San Tin Highway eastbound from a point about 100 metres east of its junction with the slip road leading to San Sham Road to a point about 1,120 metres east of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

　　Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.

　　At the same time, the existing speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour on the above road section will be temporarily rescinded.
