ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN CENTRAL DISTRICT

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 1 August 2025, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

    1. The western kerbside lane of Garden Road from a point about 45 metres north of its junction with Lower Albert Road to a point about 225 metres north of the same junction;
    2. The southern kerbside lane of Queen's Road Central from its junction with Garden Road to a point about 85 metres west of the same junction;
    3. The eastern kerbside lane of Garden Road from its junction with Lower Albert Road to a point about 160 metres north of the same junction;
    4. The western kerbside lane of Garden Road between Lower Albert Road and Robinson Road;
    5. The eastern kerbside lane of Garden Road between Tramway Lane and Magazine Gap Road;
    6. The slip road leading from Lower Albert Road eastbound to Garden Road;
    7. The southern kerbside lane of Lower Albert Road westbound from its junction with Garden Road to a point 75 metres west of the same junction; and
    8. The southern kerbside lane of Cotton Tree Drive between Queensway and the slip road leading from Cotton Tree Drive to Kennedy Road.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

    1. Picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. Loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
